I saw a couple of interesting trend lines going back to March and thought this would be good food for thought. Peter can certainly provide  thoughts on if any of the sizes suggested waves do not make sense.

Note that i didn’t add in wave 3 , 4 or 5 and the final C on this one due to space.Option-2.pngImage Enlarger

tedward728,

yeah, I’ve looked at a number of things to try to figure out what this market is doing. Your charts show the triangle that seems to be forming. However, using only part of a wave for the first leg doesn’t work in EW. It has to be the whole thing.

I’m going to spend some time look at all the indices after the futures have moved a bit so see if there are more clues. At the moment, here’s another look at what might be happening … an ending diagonal. This morning’s move brings a pattern that is textbook, in that it’s very similar to a version in the EW Principle  book, which I will post tonight.

I haven’t looked at all the other indices yet (to see if this also makes sense for them). The DOW looks more like a traditional triangle.

It’s an exasperating market at the moment, that’s for sure!
